This 26 year old from Sacramento, California has taken free solo climbing (no ropes!) to another dimension, a place 99.99% of the world’s population will never witness. Over the past few years he has climbed a mass of global routes previously thought impossible to free solo and he is doing it in a matter of hours.

A perfect example of this can be seen in this documentary clip from the National Geographic

To look at him you would not put him down as one of the planet’s most extreme athlete’s – quite, unassuming and almost dorky looking. Quite the opposite of how the mass media normally portrays the typical action sport participant. As they say you can’t judge a book by it’s cover.
